Optimizing Public Health and Education Systems

Responsive to Workforce Needs

We ground our professional and institutional development in adult education principles and methodologies, moving beyond the classroom to design training that is engaging and responsive to workforce needs. By drawing on professionals’ real-world experience, we facilitate learning that is immediately applicable.

Workforce Planning, Recruitment, and Pipeline Development

We take a system-level view to address workforce planning, recruitment, and pipeline development. JSI strengthens facilitators and supportive environments to help build a robust workforce positioned to apply new knowledge and deliver high-quality services.
Strengthening Behavioral Health Capacity in Rural New England

As a Project ECHO® replication partner, JSI facilitates a regional program to strengthen the rural behavioral health workforce in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. We use case-based learning to connect best practice knowledge with real-world application. Guided by The ASAM Criteria®, 4th Edition, our program supports professionals to use a person-centered, strengths-based approach when making level of care determinations and developing patient-driven treatment plans. To date, we have hosted 135 learning sessions for nearly 400 professionals, with 80% of participants reporting that they’ve gained knowledge of new strategies, interventions, and skills they can use in their clinical work with clients.
