Traditional classroom training for immunization health workers in India is insufficient to meet real-time learning needs due to rapid program changes and global health crises. Through the Rapid Immunization Skill Enhancement (RISE) Project, the RISE digital learning platform will be scaled up to improve health worker knowledge and skills, strengthening immunization program delivery and ensuring sustainability. The target is to cover over 150,000 vaccinators across 248 new districts in 7 states. Along with this, the RISE platform will also be leveraged to provide updated content to medical officers engaged in routine immunization.
JSI supports the MoHFW in scaling up RISE through planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and documenting learnings, and suggesting measures for adjusting and sustaining this innovative training initiative. JSI is a subcontractor to JSI PL and partners closely with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Government of India to implement the work.
