Background
The Asia Resilient Cities (ARC) Project is a five-year cooperative agreement funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), with partners DevTech Systems, Inc., BRAC, and ICF. Over the course of five years, ARC will address cross-cutting urban development challenges in select cities in Asia by promoting sustainable urban growth; supporting resilient, low-carbon urban infrastructure; and integrating climate change and environmentally-conscious approaches.
Purpose and Objectives
This Senior Project Coordinator will be hired as a consultant for the first phase of work. ARC will consider transitioning this consultancy to a long-term position based on performance and utility of this position after co-creation is completed. The Senior Project Coordinator will be the point of contact representing JSI R&T Institute Inc. (JSI) to initiate the process of getting Mayor’s approval and signing of the final MoU (post co-creation) between JSI and the Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) and/or authorized officers of the city administration. The Senior Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and interacting with JSI ARC core team, USAID Mission and the city leadership through completion of co-creation with the city, with potential for extension or a more permanent position after co-creation pending final determination of the work plan in Khulna. This Senior Project Coordinator will report to the ARC Deputy Director, who oversees all city programming.
