Community Health Workers for COVID Response and Resilient Communities (CCR) National Evaluation Center

JSI led a partnership to evaluate the national Community Health Workers for COVID Response and Resilient Communities (CCR) Initiative, which supported community health workers (CHW) in 67 funded programs to expand access to COVID-19 resources. JSI spearheaded strategic planning and implementation of a community-based participatory evaluation framework that explored CHWs' roles in pandemic response, as well as the conditions that promoted effective CHW interventions. Relying on CHW expertise, JSI and partners used a mixed-methods approach to assess short-term, intermediate-term, and long-term outcomes. The evaluation results informed project improvement strategies and the design of sustainable CHW programs.
