The MozNorte Community Driven Development Fund (CDDF) is part of the Government of Mozambique and World Bank’s Rural Resilience Project in Northern Mozambique, designed to improve access to livelihoods and natural resource management in selected rural areas.

World Education, a JSI Initiative, leads a consortium of organizations supporting the implementation of the CDDF across four districts in Nampula province: Ribaue, Memba, Mecuburi, and Erati. The initiative aims to reach 108 rural communities, representing up to 27,000 families, with a strong focus on women, youth, internally displaced persons, and host communities.

World Education works closely with FNDS (National Fund for Sustainable Development), the Government of Mozambique’s primary coordinating body for this work to strengthen community governance, support project design and feasibility, and facilitate implementation of climate-smart and socially inclusive livelihood projects. By 2026, the CDDF intervention is expected to empower vulnerable households, foster sustainable livelihoods, and reinforce resilience in one of Mozambique’s most fragile regions.
